"The port is not open."
Another error related to your modem.
1. Make sure that no other programs/applications that use the modem are open or running, if so, please close them, or
restart, make sure they aren't running, and give it a shot again.
2. Make sure the correct modem is selecting in your connectoid
3. Make sure you don't have to many incorrect modems listed in modems in the control panel, you should only have your
correct modem listed there.
4. Possibly uninstall, reboot and reinstall the modem with the instructions and driver disk/cd from your manufacturer.
